If truth be spoken, I am

-both-a fighter and a lover

I’ve the left hook of my father,

and the nerve of my mother

I am a cold winter's 5 A.M.,

and a sweltering summer's night after 9

Knives have pierced through my flesh,

but haven't damaged my spine

If truth be spoken, I am

-both-lover and fighter...

Commonly the extinguisher,

and seldom the igniter

I am the bull who sees red, and the

hummingbird who loves its nectar

Both the liberated and liberator...

Both the protected and protector.
